Organizers of the 2016 Hangout Music Fest have issued a warning to procrastinators that tickets are running low for the upcoming event.
Festival planners issued a “don’t miss the boat” caution by various social media outlets on Thursday. The message said passes were “running low,” but didn’t specify how close the event was to a sellout. Organizers traditionally don’t release sales numbers but have declared sellouts many years. Last year, it was two days before the festival opened when they tweeted that passes were no longer available.
The event takes place May 20-22 in Gulf Shores, and by agreement with the city it is limited to an attendance of 35,000 people.
Top acts for 2016 include The Weeknd, Calvin Harris, Florence + The Machine, The Alabama Shakes, Ellie Goulding, Lenny Kravitz and more. General admission tickets are $289, which includes all fees. As of Thursday morning, the festival’s ticketing page indicated that VIP ($1,099) and Super VIP ($1,599) passes also remained available.
